Cell call 1/30 (last night) from Villa Manrese - NO HELP OF ANY KIND YET - situation desperate. Can anyone help? Please call Joel on site, cell 3 622-8988
Michael Caudy (Feb 2 2010)
To: Chi Chi Valenti I am working with a group of software developers to create web-based communication and information exchange software to help coordinate rescue operations in Haiti. Please see this: #need #have Twitter search data mashup: http://dev.haiti-earthquake-information.org/en/need-have-offer We have been finding tweets about the urgent situation at Villa Manrese, for many days. I have tried to call Joel Larivaux's cell phone number. I don't speak French, but a woman (operator?) answers with a recorded message, and I cannot get any further. I have left messages, but no returned calls so far. I sent e-mails about the Villa Manrese situation to several aid organizations, requesting urgent aid for them, but none have returned my messages so far. I will continue with this. Please leave your cell phone number or e-mail address here and I will call you. Or, please call or e-mail me at the numbers below. Thank you Doctor Caudy - I emailed you. Please contact David Baron 504 943-3858, email bboywriter@aol.com to help make contact with Joel at the Villa Manrese grounds. David speaks French and Kreyol and has other contacts who call from the Villa camp.

Confirmed by Joel Lariveaux cell call 1/7 that camp has now grown to 2000 people. First delivery of rice by GOAL Ireland came on 1/5 but it was not enough for all residents. Current urgent needs are water, clothing, and cooking pots and utensils as well as more food. Mike Caudy of the Haiti Earthquake Information Project is working to get more aid there.
